Paul Pogba must
show more effort to win back the fans, claims former Manchester United
midfielder
Former Manchester
United midfielder Paul Ince believes that the French midfielder still needs to
win back sections of the Old Trafford support.
The one
player who has perhaps benefited more than any other since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as
manager at Manchester United is Paul Pogba.
Since
the Norwegian arrived at Old Trafford Pogba has finally been given the freedom
in midfield to have a real influence on games high up the pitch and is playing
with a smile on his face.
It's in stark contrast to his performances under former manager Jose Mourinho, with whom he seemed to be
in a constant battle.
Under Mourinho
this season, Pogba had five goals and four assists from 20 appearances whereas
the Frenchman has the exact same return - five goals and four assists - from
just seven appearances under Solskjaer.
It's been a
remarkable improvement as the World Cup winner has started to show the form
that convinced United to splash £90m on bringing him back to the club.
Former United midfielder Paul Ince says Pogba
still has a ways to go in order to win over the fans, who Ince believes were
starting to turn on the 25-year-old because of the midfielder’s lack of effort.
