Nigeria v South Africa,
Preview & Prediction
Our football match prediction:
South Africa will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in Group E
when they host Nigeria at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
Bafana Bafana have been impressive at the back in the Africa Cup of Nations
qualifiers so far and we predict that they are going to rely on their
rock-solid defence in Saturday’s football match. The Nigerians, on the other
hand, occupy top position in Group E ahead of the trip to South Africa, meaning
that they need one point from the match in order to retain their position. Both
sides are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the FNB Stadium clash and we
believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. Arsenal winger Iwobi has
been in a fine form in the Premier League of late, meaning that the opposition
defenders should have him at bay.

Highlighted Player
(Kamohelo Mokotjo):
Kamohelo Mokotjo is a South Africa international, who started his career
at SuperSport United. The defensive midfielder, who was born in Kutloannong
Location (RSA) on March 11, 1991, moved to Feyenoord in 2009 after a successful
three-month trial. However, he was immediately sent on loan to Excelsior where
he scored one goal in 25 appearances in the league. After ending his loan spell
with Excelsior, Mokotjo returns to Feyenoord, playing 35 games for de Trots van
Zuid. In 2013 he signed a contract with fellow Eredivisie club Zwolle, but he
spent no more than one season at MAC PARK Stadion. The South African midfielder
then moved to Twente, where he established himself as a first-team regular.
After scoring three goals in 97 appearances for the Reds, Kamohelo Mokotjo
decided to move to England, signing a three-year deal with Brentford. Mokotjo
scored his first ever goal in the Championship in a 2-0 win over Sunderland on
February 17, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Nigeria):
Nigeria is an African national football team controlled by Nigeria
Football Federation. The Super Eagles are well known for their green and white
kits, but they played some descent football in the past as well. The Nigerians
did well to qualify for six of last seven World Cup finals (as of 2018), with
the team reaching the last six of the showpiece tournament three times. Jay Jay
Okocha, Taribo West and Nwankwo Kanu are the most famous footballers that
played for Nigeria. The Super Eagles played their first official match back in
October 1949 while still a Brittish colony and it has to be noted that they
were ranked 5th in the FIFA rankings in April 1994, which remains the highest
FIFA ranking position ever achieved by a national team from Africa. Speaking of
the Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria won the tournament on three occasions: 1980,
1994 and 2013, with the team finishing as runners-up in 1984, 1988, 1990 and
2000.
